Ministry of Welcome

The Ushers, also known as "Ministers of Hospitality," serve regularly at all weekend liturgies, as well as at special liturgies throughout the year. Their goal is to welcome and assist the community as they assemble and worship.

 

In addition to being a ministry, the ushers group is also a club providing a temporal and spiritual outlet for it's members. The group, composed of both men and women, bands together on community projects, dinners, and occasional outings in addition to their ministerial duties. Members are assigned to teams that are scheduled on a yearly basis. This is a great ministry for couples or parents with young adult children to serve together. Each team rotates through the weekend Mass schedule on a biweekly basis. That means that each usher is responsible to serve twice a month. Monthly meetings are held.
